IF Design Awards

Jungheinrich has been honored with two prestigious iF Design Awards 2026 for outstanding product design. The EAE 212a autonomous mobile robot and the ETV 216i reach truck were recognized in the Product Design category.

Hamburg – Jungheinrich has won two iF Design Awards 2026 for two of its innovative products. The autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a and the reach truck ETV 216i have received the prestigious award in the Product Design category. The international competition recognizes solutions that successfully combine design excellence, efficiency, user-friendliness and sustainability. Jungheinrich products stood out among more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries.

The EAE 212a mobile robot impressed the jury with its clear and functional design, which emphasizes intuitive usability and operational efficiency. As part of a new generation of autonomous mobile robots, the EAE 212a was developed for flexible and safe operation in dynamic warehouse environments. Its compact construction allows seamless integration into existing infrastructures, while reliable navigation, high levels of autonomy and intelligent software features – including over-the-air updates – support scalable material flow processes and ensure long-term future readiness.

The ETV 216i reach truck was also recognized for its advanced product design. As the world’s first reach truck with a permanently installed lithium-ion battery, it offers an exceptionally compact structure that provides optimal all-round visibility and excellent maneuverability. The intuitive design and ergonomic layout create a working environment that improves efficiency, safety and operator comfort, even in narrow aisles or demanding warehouse applications. Its powerful technology makes the ETV 216i a reliable partner in intensive warehouse operations.

“The double award underlines Jungheinrich’s commitment to a holistic approach to design, technology and user orientation. Both award-winning products impressively demonstrate how intelligent product design solves specific challenges in the material handling industry and creates tangible added value in daily operations,” says Till Muhl, Head of Industrial Design at Jungheinrich.
“With the EAE 212a and the ETV 216i, Jungheinrich is sending a strong signal for forward-looking material handling at the highest international level,” Muhl adds.
