Processing personal data for personalized emails

The legal basis for processing your personal data in Marketo and sending emails or newsletters to you is your consent in the contact form (separate checkbox for newsletters) or the newsletter form. Ordering the newsletter is voluntary and data processing is based on your consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

On the basis of your consent via the cookie banner or the cookie consent tool, we will evaluate your user behaviour on our websites as well as within the newsletters we send out and assign it to your e-mail address / user profile within our database.

Sending marketing and sales communication on an opt-out basis

We may send you marketing and sales communications on an opt-out basis (“soft opt-in”), limited to your professional role and business context. Such communications are sent only where your contact details were obtained in connection with the sale of a product or service or related pre-contractual discussions, and where the messages concern similar products or services.

In such cases, you will be able to object to the use of your contact details at the time they were collected and in each subsequent communication or by using our website to opt-out.

This processing is carried out in accordance with applicable ePrivacy and data protection laws and is subject to national legal requirements (such as advertisement or competition laws). Where required by local law, we will send electronic marketing communications only after obtaining your prior consent (including double opt-in, where applicable).

Cookies and tracking

Marketo collects your IP address and uses cookies to track and analyze the use of the website in order to provide information specifically tailored to the user's interests. You can find more information on the subject of cookies under "Cookies – General Information". The information generated by the cookies is transmitted to and stored on a Marketo server (located within the EU/EEA). You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser accordingly. However, browser settings you have made may mean that you may not be able to use all the functions of our online offer.

You can object to the processing of your personal data at any time.

Newsletter: You have the right and the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list at any time. At the end of each newsletter you will find a corresponding unsubscribe link. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe on the website under the link in the footer "Newsletter unsubscribe" or send an e-mail to newsletter@jungheinrich.co.za with the unsubscribe request.

Tracking: You can revoke your previously given consent to data collection at any time with effect for the future by clicking on our Cookie Consent Manager Reject the use of cookies and scripts for statistical purposes.

In order to prevent you from being shown personalized advertising outside of our online offer, you can also change the advertising settings in your user accounts of various online platforms (e.g. Google) and deactivate personalized advertising.

As part of the processing of personal data with Marketo, only data centers in the EU are used. In the event that data is nevertheless processed in the USA, for example for maintenance and support, the European standard contractual clauses apply.

Contact us
When contacting us (via contact form or e-mail), the user's information will be processed for the purpose of processing the contact request and its processing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (for the implementation of a pre-contractual measure) and/or section 11(1)(f) of POPI (efficient and rapid processing of user enquiries).

User information may be stored in our Customer Relationship Management System ("CRM System"), in our Marketing Automation System (Marketo EMEA Limited, 4-6 Riverwalk Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Cooldown Commons, Dublin 24, Ireland) or similar request organization.

In South Africa, we use the CRM system "SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer" and "SAP CRM" from the provider SAP on the basis of our legitimate interests (efficient and fast processing of user requests). For this purpose, we have concluded a contract with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and/or section 21 of POPI, in which the provider undertakes to process user data only in accordance with our instructions and to comply with the EU data protection level.

In the event that you select the category Investor Relations, Press or HR, we will process your data exclusively for the purpose of answering your request. The data will only be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the respective purpose.
