The "Facebook pixel" allows Facebook to assign visitors of our website to specific target groups ("custom audiences" or "lookalike audiences") in order to display specific advertising and content to these users ("Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the "Facebook pixel" to display our placed Facebook ads to those Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online content or who possess specific characteristics (e.g. interests in specific topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited), which are transmitted to Facebook.

The personal information collected by us through the application process is used to consider your suitability for employment with us, as well as to communicate with you regarding the outcome of your application.
The personal information contained in your application will be transmitted in an encrypted manner and then stored in our database. We will save and process your data in accordance with the applicable data privacy regulations. At all times, we will ensure that your personal information remains secure and confidential by using appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.
If you have applied for a specific position that has already been filled, or if we consider you to be equally or better suited to a different position, or if you submitted a speculative application, we will forward your application within our Group so that you may be considered for future application procedures – provided that you have consented to this processing of your personal information.
Should you withdraw your application, or if your application is unsuccessful, your personal information will be deleted immediately. We process your data for the purposes stipulated in the Companies Act 71 of 2008, as amended and other laws, in particular to conduct our general meetings as well as to ensure appropriate communication with you as our shareholder. We only process personal information that is required to fulfil the aforementioned purposes. We process the aforementioned information in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and/or section 11(1)(b) of POPI, alternatively Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR and/or section 11(1)(c) of POPI.
In terms of law, we are required to retain the personal information for a minimum period of 7 (Seven) years (or for a longer period where specific legislation requires such record keeping in excess of 7 (Seven) years. The personal information specified above will be erased when it is no longer required to fulfil legal obligations and no statutory retention period applies. However, we may, in certain circumstances retain personal information in excess of the required retention periods for historical, research or statistical purposes. In such cases, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal information we retain is not processed for any other purpose.
In certain cases, we make use of third-party service providers to assist us in performing our functions and duties. Our newsletter provides you with the latest news and offers from Jungheinrich. If you enter your e-mail address under "Newsletter", click the "Subscribe" button and then confirm your subscription via the link that is subsequently sent to your entered e-mail address (double opt-in), we will process your personal data to send you the desired newsletter on a regular basis.
Within the scope of the registration for the newsletter as well as for sending information to you, we use the marketing automation software Marketo Engage of Marketo EMEA Limited, 4-6 Riverwalk Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Cooldown Commons, Dublin 24, Ireland. For this purpose, we have concluded a contract with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, in which the provider undertakes to process the user data only in accordance with our instructions and to comply with the data protection provisions. A forwarding of the data to third parties in the sense of the GDPR is excluded.
You have the right and the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter mailing list at any time. At the end of each newsletter you will find a corresponding unsubscribe link. With the help of Marketo, we collect data about the use of our website and communication measures in order to optimize our offer accordingly as well as to conduct email marketing, personalization and sales activities. The processing is partly automated, with the aim of evaluating certain personal aspects (profiling/customer segmentation). We use Azure Databricks as part of Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. for data analytics to analyze contact profiles - including contact information and behavioral data - to identify better and more personalized offers and promotions for our customers. Azure Databricks is a data intelligence platform of Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. acts as Jungheinrich’s data processor and processes personal data solely on behalf of Jungheinrich and in accordance with its instructions. The following master data is affected: Customer and prospect data (e.g. name, company, address), business-related data (e.g. role, profession, account details), marketing consents (e.g. Newsletter consent), website usage data (e.g. dwell time, click behavior, number of pages accessed, downloaded documents), data from marketing campaigns (e.g. Website visits, registrations webinar, email engagement), contract and delivery information (e.g. order or delivery date) and data on customer satisfaction (e.g. from surveys).
We also store information about the browser you use and the settings you make in the operating system you use, as well as information about the internet connection you used to access our website. Through the newsletter sent to you, we receive, among other things, receipts and read confirmations as well as information about the links you have clicked on in our newsletter. We also store which areas you have visited within our website and in our apps. We do not use special categories of personal data (such as health or biometric data) for marketing purposes unless you have explicitly given us your consent.
We use this data to implement our regular and event-related email marketing activities such as newsletters, invitations to (digital) events, nurturing emails and automated mailings, for example after a whitepaper download (event-related event).
Furthermore, your data may be used for the personalized display of content on our website. Based on your usage behavior, we display relevant web campaigns, recommendations or offers, for example, insofar as you have given your consent for personalized marketing purposes as part of our consent management system. In order to find out which services of our company are of particular interest to you, we create a contact profile.
