Jungheinrich has been honoured three times at the Red Dot Design Award 2026, underlining its strong commitment to user-centred innovation and design excellence across a broad range of material handling solutions.
Jungheinrich is once again among the major winners at the Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design category. This year, three products by the material handling specialist have been recognised with the prestigious award: the electric reach truck ETV 216i, the autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a, and the electric pedestrian pallet truck AME 18. Each solution impressed the international expert jury with its outstanding design quality, innovative strength, and strong focus on user needs.
The approximately 40-member jury selected products that demonstrate exceptional design, functional quality, and future readiness. The ETV 216i stands out for its compact design, combining fully integrated lithium-ion technology with reduced dimensions, excellent all-round visibility, and an ergonomically optimised operator workspace. This enables efficient operation even in confined environments.
The EAE 212a represents a forward-looking approach to automation. Its clear design language, compact footprint, and intuitive human-machine interaction allow seamless integration into existing warehouse operations. Designed as a scalable and flexible solution, it supports efficient automated material flow.
Completing the trio is the AME 18 pedestrian pallet truck, which combines robust construction with high usability. Its compact design and lithium-ion technology make it ideal for retail, production, and logistics environments, supporting efficient loading and unloading processes.
The triple award highlights Jungheinrich’s ability to deliver consistent design excellence across both manual and autonomous product segments. It also reinforces the company’s focus on combining functionality, safety, and sustainability in modern industrial design.
“The triple win at the Red Dot Award 2026 is a special recognition of our design expertise across different product segments – from manually operated trucks to autonomous solutions,” said Till Muhl, Head of Industrial Design at Jungheinrich. “Our ambition is to combine functionality, sustainability, and user focus in a clear and contemporary design. I want to thank all the teams whose passion and commitment made this success possible.”
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, recognising outstanding product design since 1955.
